This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Buyer at MOD ON TREND in St Louis, MO. The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for assisting in product selection, analyzing sales trends, communicating with vendors, and helping to maintain inventory levels. Additionally, the Assistant Buyer will collaborate with the buying team to ensure merchandise aligns with the brand's aesthetic and target market.
Responsibilities:
- Set up new vendors
- Enter, manage and organize all Purchase Orders
- Process reorders, receiving issues, RTV’s· Generate multiple reports for the buying team
- Maintain vendor relationships and terms by responding quickly and accurately to both internal (company) and external (vendor) questions and requests for information. Research problems.
- Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and making recommendations for process improvements in a timely manner.
- Assist in other miscellaneous processes and procedures.
Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
- Process incoming shipment which includes tagging, hanging, and barcoding merchandise...this means you get the first look at new MOD styles!
- Assist with outgoing and incoming merchandise transfers
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable with standing/working on your feet for extended periods of time
- Flexible schedule Monday-Friday 8am-4pm with reliable transportation
- Availability to work 10 hours a week

Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, manage, and evaluate store staff.
- Write and enforce store schedule for staff and events.
- Complete store informational reports.
- Motivate store staff to reach sales and performance goals.
- Complete store merchandise transfers via POS system.
- Participate in store visual merchandising tasks such as creating new displays and updating store layout.
- Complete daily opening and closing store procedures.
- Engage in everyday sales behavior with MOD clientele as well as complete everyday operational tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of retail management with experience leading & developing a team of associates & other managers
- BA/BS degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Highly organized & able to juggle multiple tasks
- Goal driven with the ability to demonstrate successful past performance in exceeding sales goals
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Full-time availability with flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, & holidays
- Ability to work 3 Saturdays each month
- Minimal travel may be required
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to an 8 hour shift)
