Easy as 1, 2, 3! Halloween Costume Inspiration

It's that time of year again. Yup, you guessed it! Halloween. The time of year when the temperatures drop, the sun sets earlier, and fall is full swing. Now, it is no secret that I am not a huge fan of this holiday. Don't get me wrong, I love passing out candy to young trick-or-treaters as they come running down the street in their adorable costumes. I just don't really get into the spooky decorating, scary movies, and haunted houses like most people do. And, now that I am an adult, I especially do not like dressing up in costume. I am the girl who decides, last minute, to attend some kind of Halloween function (where costumes are typically appropriate) and has to throw a simple outfit together because I do not want to spend time or money on a real costume. So, in honor of ladies like me, I have put together some costume ideas you can execute from items you may already have in your closet!

Get animated and steal the moon!

Pair a yellow sweater with denim bottoms for the body of your costume.

Accessorize with black bootsgloves, and goggles to complete your look!

2 // DEER

Looking for an easy partner costume? Be the deer to someone else's hunter!

Start with a basic, long sleeve white top and then add a taupe or brown faux fur vest!

Throw on your favorite pair of black jeansblack booties, and get creative with your makeup!

3 // CADET

Drop down and give me 20 shades of fashionable camo!

Start by gathering as many camo printed pieces as you can find. (I know everyone has at least a couple.) Then mix and match with different neutral pieces!

For example, grab a neutral colored top and pair it with a camo skirt. Then, accessorize with a camo printed hat, jacket or scarf!

Finish your look with edgy accessories like bold jewelry and combat-like boots!

Bring on the superstition!

For this costume classic, reach for that little black dress (or romper) and some cat ears and you're good to go! Super easy and cute!

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Not in this afterlife at least!

For those of you who like to go the less alive route for your costume, this if for you. This idea is perfect for reusing something like an old bridesmaid dress that you or someone you know has in the back of their closet. While keeping the quality of the dress intact, go crazy on hair and makeup to bring your look to life!
